TCAS English TestLab Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how English TestLab ("English TestLab", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use TCAS English TestLab (the "App").

1) Summary

  • TCAS English TestLab is free 100%.
  • We do not require you to create an account to use the App.
  • Most learning progress, exam history, preferences, and reminder settings are stored locally on your device.
  • We use Firebase Analytics to understand app usage and improve reliability and learning flows.
  • We do not use IDFA and do not perform cross-app tracking or targeted advertising.
  • The current learner experience does not expose AI Explanation or AI Coach features.
  • We do not process purchases, subscriptions, paywalls, or restore purchase flows in this free version.

2) Information Stored on Your Device

The App may store learning data locally on your device using on-device storage such as AsyncStorage. This can include:

  • Exam sessions, selected answers, scores, and review state
  • Progress summaries, streaks, achievements, and weak areas
  • Study plan tasks and completion state
  • Language, theme, and other app preferences
  • Notification schedule settings if you enable reminders

You can remove locally stored App data by deleting the App from your device. Some operating systems may also provide device-level storage controls.

3) Analytics and Technical Information

We use Firebase Analytics (Google) to measure app usage and improve the learning experience. Analytics events may include app open, screen or feature usage, exam start, exam completion, study task completion, notification-related actions, and other app interaction metadata.

Analytics should not include your name, email address, phone number, precise location, sensitive personal information, or full exam content text. Firebase, Apple, Google, and infrastructure providers may also process technical information such as device type, app version, operating system, IP address in server logs, crash or diagnostic information, and basic request metadata.

4) Notifications

If you choose to enable study reminders, the App uses expo-notifications and the notification services provided by Apple or Google to schedule and deliver local or platform notifications. You can disable notifications in the App or in your device settings.

5) AI Features

The current TCAS English TestLab learner experience does not expose AI Explanation or AI Coach features. If a future version adds opt-in AI features, we will update this Privacy Policy before using learning content or performance data for AI processing.

6) Purchases

TCAS English TestLab is free 100%. We do not sell subscriptions, paid packs, premium access, or in-app purchases in this version, and we do not use RevenueCat or similar paid-access services for this App.

7) Third-Party Providers

  • Firebase Analytics (Google) for app usage analytics and diagnostic metadata.
  • Apple and Google platform services for app distribution, device notifications, diagnostics, and operating-system features.
  • Expo services and React Native platform libraries used to deliver app functionality such as localization, notifications, sharing, and device integration.

8) Children and Students

TCAS English TestLab is designed for students preparing for English exams. The App is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age required by your country or platform rules to use an app independently, you should use the App with permission from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

9) Retention and Deletion

  • Local learning data remains on your device until you delete it, reset relevant app data, or uninstall the App.
  • Analytics and technical records may be retained by Firebase, Apple, Google, Expo, or infrastructure providers according to their own policies.

10) Changes to This Policy
